info
Ever since Quake 3 Arena was launched in december 1999 it was the only fps I played. It was my first online fps on my own system(the q3a demo even). and after 1 or 2 months I got interested in the level designs. I downloaded the editor at the time(q3radiant) and started working through the qworkshop3 tutorials(in my eyes still the best around).
I only had some basic 3dmax experience, yet my interest in architecture made me work very fast. Most of my maps were way too heavy for my pc at the time(pentium 2 350, 128mb ram and a 16mb tnt1, later a geforce 256 SDR) but they were real eyecatchers. And that is how most my maps came out, lots of details. details make or break a map in my eyes.
Ever since doom 3 came out i kind of lost track of the scene. I might switch back to doom 3 soon, quake 3 was out a long time as well before i started mapping so it should be no problem here either.
I switched from pc platform to macs because i was getting tired of windows. Currently i own an imac G5, a 20" dell widescreen display is ordered and hopefully in a few weeks i can get me a powermac instead of this imac.
